Luxenhaus farm and recreated historical village sponsored by Lindenwood College. A two-day Folk Art School is hosted annually on site. Workshops are available in pottery, scrimshaw, basket making, blacksmithing, silhouettes, rope making, hearth cooking and more.

The Exploring Center concentrates on bringing history alive.  Students not only learn history, but they also live history.  They make appropriate clothing, eat foods of the period, and build models of homes.

St. Louis Chinese Academy is a non-profit organization with main objectives of teaching Chinese language, promoting Chinese culture and providing related services to the general public. Regular weekly classes are held on Sunday afternoons. Special workshops and camps are also available. There are two types of class - language and extracurricular activities. The language class is taught in two different ways - one using Mandarin for those who are familiar with Mandarin and the other one using English for those who do not have a Mandarin background. The extracurricular classes offer a variety of culturally related activities such as folk dances, chess, arts and crafts, Chinese Kung Fu, natural sciences, and Chinese calligraphy. They will also help you arrange a special program for your group or find a private language teacher.

The center houses books, periodicals, videos and reference materials specifically for and about the Asian community. The center also offers programs for adults and children about the culture and history of Asian countries. These include craft programs such as seed collage, sequin tapestry and paper cutting art. They will help you develop a program specifically for your group as well, such as a Chinese New Year party for example.

Hands-on interactive exhibits take visitors to China, Mexico, The Philippines and Senegal, in West Africa. They also do birthday parties. Geared towards younger children.
