Support Groups Support groups exist at the national, state and local levels and provide a wide array of services, support, and fellowship. There are over 50 independent groups throughout the bi-state metropolitan area. There are both Christian and secular groups. Groups vary in size and range from large, full service support groups to smaller church based groups. Many groups host learning co-ops, field trips, newsletters, e-mail trees, monthly meetings, speakers, academic bees and contests, talent shows, art fairs, science fairs, testing, holiday parties, teen’s group, resource libraries, sports programs, graduation ceremonies, used curriculum fairs, and conferences.
