ACTING THE BARD: SHAKESPEARE SCENE STUDY and  YOUNG ACTORS WORKSHOP
10-12 week sessions on Thursdays offered Fall, Winter and Spring.
SHAKESPEARE AT SUNSET 3 week Summer Camps.
YOUNG ACTORS WORKSHOP: Students ages 8-18 working together in a company of actors studying characterization, stage presence, stage movement, voice and articulation, breath support, dramatic/comedic technique and improvisation in preparation for a full public performance. Contemporary and classical playwrights along with poetry and literature will be used. Theatre History will be taught where appropriate. ACTING THE BARD will focus specifically on Shakespeare using his sonnets, monologues and a variety of scenes for class performance. Intense language and character study along with culture, plot and subplot. SHAKESPEARE AT SUNSET camp (3 weeks - 9:30-2:30 daily) will present a complete work of Shakespeare in an outdoor performance. All classes will give students experience in costume and set design and construction along with their stage work. Multiple class dicounts and sibling discounts available.
