The Metamo4ic Math Center
333 N. Florissant Road
Ferguson, Missouri 63135
http://metamo4icmathcenter.com/
The Metamo4ic Math Center now has over 70 mathematic exhibits and experiences in a prototype lab setting. Our exhibits and activities have been and will continue to be designed to meet the needs of educators, parents, and of course, peek the interest and curiosity of children.

The math exhibits are designed for children from preschool through the eighth grade (pre-algebra). When possible, exhibits have been differentiated to challenge and meet the needs of all those age groups. The exhibits and activities are aligned with Missouri's Show-Me Standards and Grade Level Expectations. The exhibits are hands-on and interactive. Our goal is to create math tools bigger than life and allow children to experience math by becoming a part of math. As a result of their experience, we hope that each child will have a metamorphic experience and learn that math is fun!

Project MEGSSS, Inc.

St. Louis, MO 63123

www.megsss.org

Project MEGSSS' mission is to discover, inspire and develop the talents of middle school students with extraordinary gifts in mathematics. We provide "above level" mathematics testing, rigorous summer enrichment programs and our well known, three year after-school mathematics program for qualified students. We serve students who have a high level of aptitude and interest in math, whether they test as gifted or are failing math due to sheer boredom!

Nominations of 5th and 6th grade students, made by parents or teachers, are accepted beginning in January of each year. Parent information meetings are held prior to registration for our unique "out of level" testing event, which focuses on mathematical reasoning ability. After testing, qualified candidates are eligible to take the eight session, summer program which introduces the student to formal logic (propositional calculus) and operational systems. Classes may continue during the regular school term one evening per week, or the student may return the following summer for enrichment classes in probability and number theory.

The program is tuition based, but need-based scholarships or payment plans are available. For over 30 years, Project MEGSSS, Incorporated has operated as a parent-run, 501(c)3 corporation. Programming is available to all qualified students regardless of race, color, gender, creed or national origin. The current Executive Director is a home schooler and can be reached at exec@megsss.org.
