A joint group made up of Eastern Missouri Society for Paleontology, Mineral Area Gem and Mineral Society, Rock Hobby Club of Greater St. Louis, Rockwood’s Gem and Mineral Society and St. Louis Mineral and Gem Society. They provide community education programs offering talks with collections for viewing and they also host the annual local rock and mineral shows held at Queeny Park and at the Stratford Inn in Fenton.

MAS is a nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to educational and charitable purposes related to the study, investigation, and interpretation of prehistoric and historic remains in Missouri. They host annual events, monthly meetings with speakers, publications, scholarships, excavations, field trips, field classes, curriculum material, outreach and educational speakers and student competitions like the Archaeology Challenge which is an academic competition for Missouri students in grades 4th-12th (kind of like the science fair for archaeology).

Rockwood Gem and Mineral Society
Open group whose purpose is to increase and disseminate knowledge of the earth sciences and the lapidary arts among it's members, to bring a closer association of persons sharing those interests, and to promote the conservation, appreciation and intelligent use of our natural resources. Meetings are held monthly, except July and August, on the third Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Library, 300 Clarkson Rd. Ballwin. Mo. 63011. The group is open to younger members.
